Advanced Hydrocarbon Fuels

2014 – Current

Following four years of preliminary research, AHFL was incorporated in 2014. The company has developed the world’s first commercially viable technology making ultra low carbon footprint fuels out of end of life, mixed waste plastic. Working with Wood PLC, Brian plans to set up global facilities that can remove plastic from any source, including our planet’s oceans. The first production line is scheduled to be operational in 2024.

Brian’s Glove Project

2013 – Current

In 2013, Brian entered into a partnership with a major university’s Department of Infection, Immunity & Inflammation and the Department of Physics for the development and marketing of an original Ablett concept to reduce the spread of MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) in hospitals and to lower the impact of SARS and similar pandemics (past proof of concept in 2015). The project is ongoing.

Oil Containment Systems Inc

2010 – Current

Following the Exxon Valdez incident, with the assistance of the Canadian Government, Brian helped develop and patent a high efficiency, low cost plastic film for a rapid, efficient clean up and containment of oil spills. In response to the Deepwater Horizon accident in 2010, Brian put together a consortium of manufacturing and engineering companies to develop the technology for use in The Gulf of Mexico, with special attention to marsh and coastal clean-up - and OCS was born.

In addition to his unique business experience, Brian has worked professionally in the areas of advertising, photography, music, theatre and as an Advanced Driving Instructor for Porsche, BMW, and Ferrari. He completed First Year, Engineering at St. Francis Xavier University, at the age of sixteen, where he was (and still is) Canada’s youngest university basketball player.

In 2011, having spent his early childhood in Rutland, fulfilment of a lifelong desire to move back to England saw Brian and his wife Kathy relocate to the UK. They were married in a Druid Hand Fasting ceremony at sunset in the inner circle of Stonehenge, with friends and family and strolling musicians in 2013.
